Job Description
The HR Officer will be required to display a wide range of knowledge, skill and expertise within the area of HR . The HR Officer will be expected to assist the business within the Limpopo and surrounding regions with any HR related queries.. The role plays a pivotal part in fostering a positive and productive workplace culture.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Communicating and assisting stores with HR related matters and queries
- Assist to implement and improve systems and procedures related to the HR department
- Ensure the updating interpretation and implementation of Organization Policies, Procedures and Agreements
- Prepare and present best practice solutions to the business to minimize risks, including management reporting and benchmarking statistics
- Assist in training and development at store level
- Executing of IPM
- Maintain current knowledge of tools and best practices within Employee Relations
- Day to day HR/ IR advice to Managers/ Directors/ Employees
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and objectivity even when dealing with controversial issues
- Chairing Disciplinary hearings
- Appearances at the CCMA for inter alia: Con / Arb processes, Conciliation, Recession Hearings
- Dealing with internal greivances (Group and individual)
- Counseling, Evaluation and Training of staff
- Incapacity Investigations (Poor Work Performance and Ill Health
- Facilitating Retrenchment procedures
- Drafting / or perusing of Recognitions agreements/ wage and or any other agreements pertaining to Employee/ Union related matters
- Strike attendances and settlements
REQUIREMENTS:
- Qualification in Human Resource Management
- Knowledge of LRA; BCEA; SDLA; OHSA; COIDA; UIA; UI Contribution Act; SDA and EEA
- Be a good negotiator and conflict handler
- Ability to multitask Reliability, dependable and responsible Accuracy and efficiency
- MS Office Suite experience
- 3 - 5 Years’ experience in HR/IR Generalist
- Valid driver’s licence and travel to sites on occasion
- Attention to detail
- Excellent communication , management , organisational and problem solving skills
- Fluency in Tsonga and Venda (will be advantageous)
