DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Provide a systematic and disciplined approach to effectiveness of risk management control and governance processes
  2. Possess a thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and a sound judgement
  3. Accountable for the examination and evaluation of organisations processes, reporting findings back to the executive regarding possible improvements and corrections
  4. Designing and implementing the internal audit plan
  5. Performing financial and operational audits
  6. Identifying business process risks
  7. Creating various testing methods to evaluate the adequacy of controls
  8. Documenting results of the internal audits and implementing corrective action
  9. Deciding the best ways to schedule projects/audits
  10. Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  11. Have effective time management, problem solving and decision-making abilities
  12. Be able to present and communicate in both written and verbal forms
  13. Conducting store audits in Gauteng, Limpopo, Mpumalanga and North West and other sites as directed by internal audit management. Audits will also entail accounting and DC warehouse. Extensive travel with overnight stays

REQUIREMENTS: 

  1. 5 Years' experience as an internal auditor
  2. Tertiary Qualification - Internal Auditing / Accounting qualification
  3. Valid code 8 Drivers Licenses (own vehicle)
  4. Full MS Office
  5. Sage 50/ Pastel Evolution or similar system
  6. GAAP and/or Micros advantageous
  7. Sound understanding of the internal auditing function and a hands-on approach
  8. Experience in the Retail, FMCG or Fast-Food sectors – advantageous
  9. Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation
  10. Strong presentation skills
  11. Must have strong attention to detail and a proven track record
