DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. To oversee the Reporting team in relation to accurate Reporting before submission to the Financial Reporting Manager
  2. Financial reporting, managing operating capital, the accounting function, implementing SOP’s and improving internal financial controls
  3. Financial reporting: Collate, prepare and interpret reports
  4. Manage the accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions
  5. Ensuring tax compliance and compliance with statutory regulations
  6. Managing the audit process and ensuring financial statements are completed.
  7. Managing budgets, variance analysis
  8. Review Store Management accounts for 17 stores
  9. Review cash ups: Verify Cash banking, Mr D, Uber eats, Yumbi and Cards recons
  10. Review VAT calculations and submit to FM for review
  11. Accurate review of payments and timely submission throughout the month
  12. Review FAR as per physical verifications
  13. Store Budgets

REQUIREMENTS: 

  1. Tertiary Financial Management / Accounting qualification
  2. Full MS Office
  3. Sage 50/ Pastel Evolution or similar system
  4. 5 years’ experience in a similar role
  5. Sound understanding of the finance function and a hands-on approach
  6. Previous experience in the FMCG, Fast Food or Retail sectors - advantageous
  7. Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation
  8. Must have strong attention to detail and a proven track record
