DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To oversee the Reporting team in relation to accurate Reporting before submission to the Financial Reporting Manager
- Financial reporting, managing operating capital, the accounting function, implementing SOP’s and improving internal financial controls
- Financial reporting: Collate, prepare and interpret reports
- Manage the accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions
- Ensuring tax compliance and compliance with statutory regulations
- Managing the audit process and ensuring financial statements are completed.
- Managing budgets, variance analysis
- Review Store Management accounts for 17 stores
- Review cash ups: Verify Cash banking, Mr D, Uber eats, Yumbi and Cards recons
- Review VAT calculations and submit to FM for review
- Accurate review of payments and timely submission throughout the month
- Review FAR as per physical verifications
- Store Budgets
REQUIREMENTS:
- Tertiary Financial Management / Accounting qualification
- Full MS Office
- Sage 50/ Pastel Evolution or similar system
- 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Sound understanding of the finance function and a hands-on approach
- Previous experience in the FMCG, Fast Food or Retail sectors - advantageous
- Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation
- Must have strong attention to detail and a proven track record
