Summary of Job

To provide administrative support to the logistics and operations team by coordinating shipment schedules, processing delivery documentation, maintaining inventory records, and ensuring compliance with company procedures. The Logistics Admin Clerk plays a vital role in ensuring efficient material and transport flow throughout the business

Qualifications & Experience

  1. Grade 12 / Matric (required)
  2. Qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Administration (advantageous)
  3. 1–3 years experience in a similar logistics/admin role
  4. Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  5. Experience with logistics systems
  6. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

Key Performance Areas

  1. Capture and maintain delivery schedules and dispatch plans
  2. Track incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring on-time deliveries
  3. Liaise with drivers, dispatchers, and suppliers regarding delivery updates

4.      Assist with transport booking and issuing job cards or trip sheets

  1. Prepare, print and file delivery notes, invoices, and shipping documents
  2. Ensure all documentation is accurate and signed off by relevant parties
  3. Maintain up-to-date records of vehicle movements, stock transfers, and PODs (Proof of Delivery)
  4. Compile daily, weekly, and monthly logistics reports
  5. Record incoming material and equipment receipts on stock systems
  6. Assist warehouse or operations team with basic stock checks and reconciliations
  7. Flag and report discrepancies to management
  8. Answer and route calls/emails regarding deliveries or collections
  9. Support the logistics supervisor with any administrative tasks
  10. Maintain updated contact lists of drivers, suppliers, and clients
