1. To lead and manage all aspects of Distribution Centre operations

Reporting To

                DC Manager

Qualifications & Experience

1. Grade 12 with tertiary qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent.
2. Minimum 5 years in warehouse/logistics operations, with at least 3 years in a management role.
3. Experience in managing high-volume warehouse operations (3,000+ pallets).
4. Solid understanding of WMS, Microsoft Excel
5. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
6. Sound knowledge of IR practices, health and safety, food safety (HACCP), and audit readiness.

Key Performance Areas

1. Manage end-to-end warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order picking, dispatch, and returns.
2. Oversee transport planning, vehicle routing, and distribution to stores/customers.
3. Monitor and maintain warehouse productivity, KPIs, and cost control.
4. Lead a team of supervisors, controllers, and warehouse staff to meet daily targets.
5. Ensure full compliance with health & safety, HACCP, ISO, and company SOPs.
6. Implement and maintain effective stock control measures, including cycle counts, shrinkage, and expiry management.
7. Drive continuous improvement initiatives in efficiency, waste reduction, and cost-saving.
8. Collaborate closely with HR on IR/ER matters, performance management, and workforce planning.
9. Ensure readiness for audits (internal/external) and accurate reporting to senior management.
10. Manage warehouse budget, maintenance of material handling equipment, and asset control.
